Library and Archives Canada (LAC) has launched a program entitled, “Listen, Hear Our Voices,” which offers funding and digitization services to preserve recordings of Indigenous culture and language. Funding is provided “…of up to $100,000 per project to eligible Indigenous organizations to digitize existing culture and language recordings, and to help them build the skills, knowledge and resources they need to carry out this work in their communities.”
Library and Archives Canada has also announced their Indigenous Heritage Action Plan which proposes activities to be carried out over the next five years.
